On the day of the funeral, those who have come to say goodbye arrive at Norwood Park Crematorium Chapel or Gungahlin Cemetery and Crematorium Chapel. The Simple Goodbyes team arrives early to prepare the chapel, including seating, music, visual tributes, and flowers. We are there to welcome everyone on arrival, answer questions, assist with the attendance register and keep the service moving at a respectful pace.
We act as Master of Ceremonies, leading the farewell, introducing speakers, and guiding the service from one moment to the next. If a celebrant or clergy member is requested and engaged separately by the family, we work alongside them so everything unfolds as intended.
As the service draws to a close, you are gently guided through the final moments. Cremation takes place afterwards, once everyone has left.
Cremation without attendees
If you prefer a simpler or more private farewell, a direct cremation without attendees lets you say goodbye privately. The same care and dignity are provided, with the option to hold a memorial, scattering or gathering when you feel ready.
